Perfect level of interruption

I really love the notification system used by this app. Every other similar app either:
- pops up a small notification that I never notice or
- pops up a modal dialog that steals my keystrokes or otherwise totally interrupts my work

This does a perfect job of making itself noticed but still allowing me to complete whatever thought Im in the middle of at the time. I also like that I can quickly snooze the notification but its persistent enough that I cant really keep ignoring it.

The only thing Id like to see is some sort of AppleScript or other trigger mechanism -- I use this as part of a Pomodoro time management system, and it would be nice if I could have it trigger events in other apps when I hit or complete a break.
